Conduct an Employee Survey Suggestion

Conducting an employee survey or poll can be an effective way of finding out what is on people’s minds about their jobs and the organization. However, the problem with many surveys is that nothing is done with the information and data received. Caution: Before undertaking the survey, be sure that you are prepared to respond to the results.

Strategy
Surprise everyone: Conduct an employee survey and then follow up on it as well. Find out what is on employees’ minds and take the actions necessary to address the problems that the survey identifies. Publicize the results of this survey and develop a strategy for distributing the information and planning follow-up activities.
With National Employee Benefits Day right around the corner, this could be a great time to conduct a survey. The National Benefits Day website suggests a number of tips for celebrating the observance, including surveying your staff about the benefits you currently offer or benefits you're thinking about offering in the future.
Results
Employees will feel good about being given the opportunity to have their opinions collected. The organization will be given the opportunity to make changes or address issues that are really important to employees. Employees will feel that their voices are finally being heard. This can help improve relationships between everyone in the organization and make employees more satisfied with their jobs.
